Je suis favorable au financement participatif pour investisseurs car :
– Les entrepreneurs ayant un produit/service/modèle d’affaires qui tient la route et qui faite d’autres sources de financement à leur portée, devraient tous et toutes avoir l’opportunité de le démontrer
– Nos start-ups sont un réel vecteur de notre développement économique, représentant plus de 75% des PME
– Il s’agit d’un prolongement logique des réseaux sociaux et les entrepreneurs rencontrés s’entendent pour dire que ça va de soit
– Les investisseurs individuels qui investissent actuellement en bourse ou ceux qui veulent commencer estiment qu’ils préfèrent mettre leur argent dans une entreprise locale financée par le Invest Crowdfunding pour stimuler l’économie.

I believe Crowdfund Investing should be part of our ecosystem for a number of reasons:
– Entrepreneurs and SMEs with a good product/service/business model, out of LM or seed fund, need their chance to prove it
– Our start-ups are truly a vector of our economic development, representing well over 75% of SMEs
– it’s a logical extension of social networks and entrepreneurs I’ve met agree it’s a natural fit
– Individual investors and potential investors I’ve spoken to in the past 4 months agree that they’d rather put their money in a local invest-crowdfunded business to help boost the economy

I fully support the legalization of Invest Crowdfunding in Canada.
Regulators need to understand that Crowdfunding is going to drastically change the way that small companies finance themselves. This is going to happen whether they like it or not.
The operative question is will regulators allow Canada be able to create its own Crowdfunding infrastucture, otherwise all of the companies and all of the deals are going to go south to the US.
Politicians need to pressure regulators to understand that small companies create more than half of all new jobs.
What better way to jumpstart the economy than by providing small companies with the capital that they need to grow.

Invest Crowdfunding is much needed for technology startups in Montreal and Quebec, to build a stronger and more diverse startup ecosystem.
It can be a great complement to traditional sources of funding (such as angel investment, venture capital), with the added benefit that it brings validation, early feedback, and proves market traction for the startup’s partner.
Quebec and Canada is lagging behind other countries on this matter. With Invest Crowdfunding, we would be able to attract more entrepreneurs and also reach out to other international markets for QC-based startups.
Let’s make it happen!

“C’est la future bourse…C’est l’État providence mais amené par les citoyens. Les citoyens veulent se responsabiliser, participer mais il faut leur donner structure. Avec la structure du crowdfunding par exemple, au lieu d’investir dans la bourse dans les entreprises qui n’en ont pas réellement besoin, c’est d’investir dans des entreprises locales. C’est l’avenir, c’est évident que ça nous prend ça. Ici c’est l’AMF. Le rôle du citoyen c’est de participer, de monter des projets, de les financer. Le gouvernement n’a plus d’argent pour le faire. Les citoyens en ont. Mais il faut la règlementation pour s’assurer que les plateformes soient bien montées et que le citoyen ne soit pas floué. C’est capital. Et un autre point. Ce n’est pas tout le monde qui a l’ambition de devenir la prochaine multinationale. Au Québec, ce sont les PME qui sont les moteurs de l’industrie, pas les top 50. Il faudra adopter le Invest Crowdfunding pour le développement de nos entreprises.”

“Le pb pour nous au Québec c’est le capital de risque, quelque soit la source de capital de risque c’est toujours une bonne nouvelle. Comme le dit le CFO de Google, à Silicone Valley, quand une entreprise a une bonne idée, les investisseurs se battent pour l’attirer chez lui. Ici au Québec, c’est l’inverse. Quand une entreprise a une bonne idée, il se bat pour attirer l’intérêt d’un “capital risqueur”. Ça n’aide pas à attirer des bonnes idées et à faire du chiffre. Donc on a besoin de ce modèle comme tous les autres pour développer l’intangible.”

Fundo.ca est également en faveur de l’Invest crowdfunding au Québec. Cela permettrait de faciliter l’accès aux capitaux pour l’ensemble des entrepreneurs.

Le Québec sera laissé derrière tous les autres endroits au monde y compris les autres provinces qui ont adopté le Croudfunding. Il est urgent d’agir. Il n’est pas inconcevable que, les entrepreneurs iront ou ils est le plus facile être en affaire. Le Québec est un leader mondiale dans le développement des entreprises coopératives. Le Crowd fundind, n’est-il pas motivé par les même raisons?
As an entrepreneur, I’m tempted to go where the terrain is the least difficult. Quebec must adopt Crowdfuding without delay in order to be competitive with other areas of the world having done so. Quebec has led the way in co-operative business development. Isn’t crowdfinding along the same motivation

Merci de votre soutien. Vous avez tout à fait raison. Le Québec et son succès coop a été repris dans plusieurs parties du monde. Et il y a des recoupements entre les deux modèles. Le FPI est une solution qui fait sens car d’une part, il viendrait combler un écart de financement (50-500k) et d’autre part, il responsabiliserait les citoyens par l’achat de parts dans une entreprise. The Bitcoin Embassy, which promotes the development and adoption of cryptocurrencies and other disruptive technologies, is in favour of the legalization of investment crowdfunding in Quebec. We are delighted to see that like-minded people have taken the initiative to promote this cause, to which we are happy to lend our support.
Many technological innovations based on Bitcoin’s blockchain ledger concept and its cryptographic protocol have been created or are being developped with the explicit objective of facilitating peer-to-peer financing methods such as investment crowdfunding. The rise of decentralized market platforms, the ability to issue and trade assets in the form of cryptocurrencies and the development of smart (programmable and self-enforcing) contracts will remove the barriers between young entrepreneurs and access to capital markets.
Investment crowdfunding has been an instrumental component in Bitcoin’s emerging economic ecosystem. There is no doubt that without these alternative funding methods, many of the great crypto-related projects which push back the limits of what we though possible would simply not exist today.
If Quebec and Canada want to compete on a global marketplace, they must allow its entrepreneurs the same access to these new financing methods as their competitors in other jurisdictions. It’s not only a matter of common sense but a matter of justice and equity for Quebec’s emerging entrepreneurs.
